Hello guys,
So today we are going to talk on, one of the most popular car of India ,which is ruling India's SUV segment since its launch in 2002. Yes, we are talking about Mahindra Scorpio. Mahindra's mid size SUV and a center of attraction for the brand. Scorpio was Mahindra's 2nd SUV after the launch of Bolero in the year 2000, but it was Mahindra's 1st global product. Scorpio was Mahindra's 1st car to be built for the global car market. And it brought out a huge success for the brand. It also got a huge success in Europe where it was being sold by the name Mahindra Goa and Kits in Russia.

In the year 2002 the car was launched with 4 engine options- 1petrol and 3 diesel engines. It was having 9 variants to offer at that time in a price range of 7.5lakh - 12.5 lakh. From 2002 to 2006 Mahindra continued with this 1st generation model of scorpio and in the year 2006 Scorpio got its first facelift which further continued till 2014. Now its the 4th generation of the scorpio from 2017 onwards that we are currently having in the market. Scorpio is Mahindra's one of the top selling product in India.   

         
 
   WHY SCORPIO??

 Scorpio is completely a different kind of product made by Indian car manufacturer. It has its own market and fan following. Though scorpio has improved alot with its generations but today also it lacks basic, in cosmetics as well as safety features. If we talk about India only, Scorpio has made its image as a brand. In India more than a car scorpio is considered as brand in itself which is owned by a Macho type people. Its a great choice for those who want a rugged and Macho type car which can go anywhere whether there is road or not because of its high ground clearance and 4×4 offering at an offordable price point. Despite of having a huge fan following there are certain areas too where it lacks. Scorpio is never an eye catchy product for those who are looking out for a featuristic car. But then also its one of the India's top selling SUV only because of its driving feel and dynamics. The way this car drives and that enjoyable bodyroll is all what scorpio buyers like in this. It is a ladder on frame chassi car,so it has alot of bodyroll which is a negative thing on paper. But in real life this is all what scorpio owners actually like about their car. Thats why today also scorpio is performing so well in the market and has defeated various modern SUV's in terms of sales.

Now scorpio's another facelift is also ready for the launch. Its delayed due to COVID-19. Probably it will be launched in the first half of 2021. Upcoming facelift will be a lot more improved and it will again get a new petrol engine as company had discontinued the petrol scorpio after its first gen. Prices will also increase,most likely upto 50,000-60'000. Pubic has a lot more expectations from the new facelift as now scorpio owners are also demanding something more premium and featuristic.
